KS2 visit River Arle
This half term, KS2 have been studying the River Arle. They have been learning about river journeys from source to sea and part of their studies have included a visit to the River Arle in Alresford. Nectar and Honeycomb classes have visited so far and Beekeeper class will visit after their SATS. They have really enjoyed the opportunity to actually get in the river and dip for specimens, which they were then able to study under the microscope, back at school. They have measured the flow and looked at the geography of the area and how the river fits into this. It has been a really successful trip which the children have thoroughly enjoyed. A big thank you to the Wessex Rivers Trust who led the trip and came into school to continue the children's learning.
