It has been a lovely to start to the year, getting to know the children and they have settled brilliantly into the new routines of a new class. We have begun our new learning journeys in English based on The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch and in maths, based around place value. Below are some photos of the children using different concrete resources to make numbers up to 100. 

In history, the children are beginning to learn about the Great Fire of London, who Samuel Pepys was and how the fire was started. 

The children have had a really positive start to the year and I can't wait to share more with what we do as the year goes on!
