EYFS and KS1 Nature Area

We are pleased to share with you the next exciting development at our school!  We are currently fundraising to be able to build an Early Years and KS1 Nature Area.

This area will be dedicated to our Early Years and KS1 children to enable them to explore, enjoy and develop their curiosity, physical stamina, gross motor skills, creativity and communication skills, through a dedicated outdoor learning environment.  It will also be particularly beneficial to a school’s demographic with increased numbers of children who are neuro-divergent.

As our school continues to develop and grow to provide an educational environment that meets the needs of today’s parents, introducing a forest school/nature type area means we can provide a space which is proven to assist with the development of gross motor skills, creativity, communication and stamina.  The benefits to outdoor learning for our pupils are huge. Ranging from physical, cognitive and emotional development to positive mental health, to improved social skills, connection to nature, risk-taking, independence, fostering creativity and independence.

Our aim is to break ground at Easter 2026 with the intention that it will be fully functioning in time to welcome our new Bumblebee children in September 2026!
